Haven't posted for a few days due to the time we've been getting home at night, so thought i'd do it this morning.
Daisy is doing really well, she's now off the drips and monitors and looks fairly normal. As you can see though she still has a TAT tube in her nose. She is also feeding from a bottle now and is managing about 40ml before getting tired, and then she gets a top up through the tube to finish the feed. There is now a 48 hour period of observation before any decisions are made about when or if Daisy can be transferred nearer to home or whether she will remain in St Georges. We will just have to wait and see.
Lily is doing well also but has a slight cold which could have serious consequences if she comes home, as we wouldn't be able to visit Daisy if we catch it!!! Thanks again to Heather and Tony for all their support during this difficult time. We're not sure how we would have coped without Lily being at their place.
Thanks also to everybody who has offered support. We know that if there's anything anybody could do, we have loads of people that would help.
Enough words, here's the latest pictures:
Somewhere in this picture there's a baby!!
She's really tiny compared to Lily.
Just before a bottle.
20ml but no wind, well not from the top end anyway!!
All this eating makes me tired!!!
I'm not going to eat anymore mummy, just stick it down the tube.
